Scottsdale Real EstateThis city is "Big on Style". Noteworth cache comes with a "Scottsdale" address. NORTH SCOTTSDALE ARIZONA REAL ESTATE - The area north of Shea Blvd. The newer, swankier, ritzier extension of Scottsdale. Wondrous views and the beauty of the Sonoran Desert offer a less "citified" life style. If you love the desert and affordability is not an issue, then NORTH SCOTTSDALE is a great place to call "HOME". SOUTH SCOTTSDALE REAL ESTATE - I prefer to call this area "OLD SCOTTSDALE", This is where Scottsdale was born about a half century ago. The city then grew north since it is land locked by the Pima Maricopa Indian Reservation to the east, Tempe to the south and Phoenix to the west. OLD SCOTTSDALE HOMES - a generally defined area near "Old Town", the "Fifth Avenue District" and the "Arts District". While the geographic center of Scottsdale is around the Scottsdale Air Park, it is the general consensus that Old Scottsdale is the area south of Shea. This area consists monstly of ranch style homes, larger yards, family neighborhoods mixed with condos and townhomes, golf courses and parks. The Green Belt, a seven mile long area consisting of walking and bike paths and lakes, winds along Hayden Road. This area, designed by the Army Core of Engineers in the 1970's, diverts rain water and keeps this area of Scottsdale from flooding. This project serves as a model for other cities and is visited by about a million people annually. This older, less expensive, part of Scottsdale is charming and slower paced than the northern, newer, Scottsdale known as "North Scottsdale".
